A better way to approach annexe living

Habin was created in response to a growing need for well-designed, permanent residential annexes that support independent living, whether that’s in later life or to support a growing family need.

With today’s unaffordable and unsuitable housing, too often, homeowners are forced to live apart from family and as they choose to move away from family to find a home that meets their needs. We believe there’s a better middle ground, one that is affordable and offers independence whilst staying close to those who matter most.

Our focus is on quality and our approach provides clarity and reassurance, both in the homes we build and in the way we work with our clients.

Habin garden annexe construction

Built by housebuilding experts

At the heart of Habin is a team with considerable expertise and genuine pedigree in bespoke housebuilding, design and planning, not just annexes. We come from a background of creating high-quality, bespoke homes where attention to detail, practical problem-solving and thoughtful design are simply part of how we work. This experience means we bring real housebuilding skills and professional rigour to every Habin annexe project, from concept through to completion, giving you confidence and peace of mind from the very first conversation.

Our people

Our people have decades of experience guiding clients through the full life cycle of residential construction, including planning, design coordination, project management and on-site delivery. We understand how homes are built, how regulations work, and how to anticipate and solve the challenges that arise on every project. That’s why we’re able to build Habins that are not only beautifully designed but genuinely built to a high standard, right first time, with the care and craftsmanship you would expect from a team steeped in bespoke housebuilding.

Every member of our team brings something valuable to your project, whether that’s hands-on construction experience, expertise in timber systems and modern methods of building, or practical insight into planning and building regulations. We work collaboratively and transparently, and we’re always available to explain things clearly, answer your questions, and keep you involved in decisions that matter - because building a home, big or small, should be a reassuring and positive experience.

In short, we’re not new to building things that matter. We’re housebuilders first, with the design, planning and construction expertise that ensures your Habin is delivered with quality and care, every step of the way.

Why Habin?

A Habin isn’t just about extra space, it’s about how that space supports everyday life.

Our residential annexes are designed to be warm in winter, cool in summer and quiet all year round. Excellent insulation and careful detailing mean lower energy bills and a consistently comfortable indoor environment.

Layouts are simple, practical and easy to live in, with step-free access and bathrooms that can adapt over time if needed. And because every Habin is a permanent, traditionally built building, it adds long-term value to your property.

Purpose-designed residential annexes – not sheds plus or adapted garden rooms

✔ Fixed-price certainty – clarity from the outset

✔ End-to-end service – one team managing everything from planning to final finishes

✔ High energy performance – warm, quiet and economical places to live

✔ Long-term value – permanent buildings that enhance your property

Sustainable and low-energy living.

Our residential annexes are designed to use significantly less energy than traditional buildings. High levels of insulation, careful construction detailing and standards along with optional renewable technologies help reduce running costs while maintaining excellent comfort.

Sustainability, for us, means creating homes that are economical to live in, gentle on the environment and built to last.
