Your Habin annexe is delivered as a fully built, fixed-price, turnkey project. From the first site visit through to final handover, we manage the entire project, keeping disruption to a minimum and communication clear throughout.

Building a Habin should feel straightforward, safe, and under control. Our process is carefully structured so you always know what’s happening, who’s responsible, and what comes next, without needing to manage or worry about the details yourself.

Step 1: Getting to know you
Every project begins with a relaxed, no-obligation conversation. We take time to understand your circumstances, your priorities and how an annexe will support your everyday life.
We’ll talk through your garden, access, budget expectations and any early questions you may have. This stage is about listening first and offering clear, friendly advice so you can explore your options with confidence and without pressure.
Step 2: Project appraisal
Once you’re comfortable to move forward, we carry out an initial appraisal of your site. This includes reviewing positioning within the garden, neighbouring boundaries, access routes and likely planning considerations. The aim is to identify opportunities and constraints early, so decisions are based on real conditions rather than assumptions.
By the end of this stage, you’ll have a clear understanding of feasibility, likely timelines and the practical next steps.


Step 3: Place your order
When you decide to proceed, we formalise the project under one clear agreement. This sets out the design model, scope of works, estimated timelines and fixed pricing structure. Everything is explained in straightforward terms so you know exactly what is included and what happens next.
Bringing everything together under a single contract removes uncertainty and ensures responsibility sits clearly with our experienced team.
Step 4: Tailor your Habin
With the principles agreed, we refine the design to suit your needs. This may include layout requirements, window positions, storage options or finish selections.
Our aim is to keep decisions simple while ensuring the space feels personal and practical. We focus on natural light, efficient layouts and long-term comfort, creating a home that feels calm, intuitive and easy to live in both now and in the future.


Step 5: Planning application
Our in-house planning specialists prepare and manage the full planning submission on your behalf.
We produce drawings, supporting documents and a clear planning statement, then liaise directly with the local authority throughout the review period. If additional surveys or reports are required, we coordinate these with trusted consultants.
This stage is carefully managed to keep the process smooth, transparent and as stress-free as possible.
Step 6: Construction
Once approvals are in place, construction begins under a fully managed, fixed-price build programme. From site preparation and foundations through to the weather-tight shell and final internal finishes, every phase is overseen by our experienced delivery team. You’ll receive regular updates and clear communication at key milestones, with opportunities to view progress along the way.
Quality control, safety and respectful site management remain priorities throughout, ensuring the build progresses smoothly and professionally.


Step 7: Handover
At completion, we carry out a detailed walkthrough with you to ensure everything meets expectations.
You’ll receive a comprehensive completion manual including certifications, warranties, operating guidance and key documentation. Systems are explained in plain English, questions are answered and any final adjustments are addressed so the transition into your new space feels straightforward and reassuring.
Step 8: Aftercare support
Our support continues beyond completion. We remain available to answer questions, provide guidance and respond to any issues that may arise.
Responsive maintenance and ongoing customer care are part of the service, giving you long-term reassurance that your Habin will continue to perform exactly as intended. The goal is not simply to complete a build, but to ensure lasting comfort, quality and peace of mind.

Our role: clear responsibility, total oversight
For every Habin project, we act as both the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
In simple terms, this means:
✔ We are responsible for planning, managing and coordinating health and safety throughout the project
✔ We ensure the design is safe to build, safe to use, and compliant with regulations
✔ We control the site and all construction activity from start to finish
✔ Your finished home will be safe to live in
You won’t need to appoint multiple consultants or manage different parties — responsibility is clear, and accountability sits firmly with us.
Before construction begins, we prepare a Construction Phase Plan, setting out how the site will be run safely and efficiently. At completion, you’ll receive a clear, easy-to-understand completion manual, containing operating information, warranties, certificates, and guidance for ongoing care of your Habin.
